A
progressive mix and representation of the tunes Seb Fontaine has been
playing over the past year. The soulful ‘MMMM’ from The Reaver
welcome the bassline of ‘Slynus II’ before the minimal grooves of
‘Subdued’. Disc one features the latest from Trancesetters (Synergy)
alongside firm favourtie ‘Sputnik’ by Stylus Trouble. Quirkiness
embodies Durango 95’s ‘Lectronik’. The mix is smooth and
appreciative.
Circuit
Boy opens ‘The Door’ to disc two, which is trancier in style
compared to disc one. Probably one of the more interesting songs on this
mix is Ayumi Hamasaki’s ‘Vogue’ that has been given a Computer
Hell Vocal remix by Junkie XL. The mix builds on the mood wih slightly
deeper and darker tunes like Star’s ‘Rockrose’. Trance rules the
remainder of the mix with a slightly harder and uplifting feel. Kamaya
Painters’ ‘Wasteland’ is probably one of the hottest trance
releases, featured here in the form of Chab’s ‘Tribute To Bedrock’
remix.
Seb
Fontaine’s latest certainly stands out from his previous compilations
for its progressive sound. This is meant to be ‘the blueprint of the
future’.
