[Way Out West - Intensify (out: August 2001]

Having gracefully jumped over recent hurdles like Olympic champions, Way Out West now deliver us the first single in their new deal entitled ŒIntensify¹.

The single is already wowing their peers and clubbers alike. Prior to release, Intensify has so far been licensed to five compilations, (including Pete Tong¹s Essential mix), off the back of 5 acetates currently being played by Tong, Seb, Jody & Nick and Anthony Pappa. It¹s an unprecedented act, which shows the credibility and pulling power of the band. Both Seb & Pete are hammering the track on Radio One and listeners of Seb¹s show have voted with their feet by making Intensify no. 1 in his Floor Filler chart. Distinctive has also had to foil the plans of an eager bootleg that was doing the rounds.

It¹s Anthony Pappa biggest track of the moment and he made it his single of the week in DJ Magazine.

Peace Division¹s remix resides at the druggier, deeper, tribal end of the spectrum and is already a firm favourite with Sasha, Digweed and Steve Lawler. You should also be on the look after for a single promo that will be doing the rounds featuring a remix from gyromancer PMT.

Way Out West were the first band of this genre to break though on a global platform and the album¹s already being heralded as one of the best albums of 2001 by those who¹ve heard it.

Nick Warren will be playing at all the major UK festivals this year and Way Out West will be making their live debut at this years Creamfields in August.
