SCREAM VOL. 4 (PSCHENT) Mixed by DJ Freddy

Tech House is not minimal and bare. This compilation, as a representation of the parties of the same name, proves that it is also funky and groovy. Joeski’s ‘Don’t Make Me Wait’ has a bassline you just have to appreciate. ‘Second Choice’, funky with a hint of tribal percussions leads into the disco house influenced ‘On The Move’. The mix is tight and retains its flow with a selection that gives nothing away – except a good time. A hot tribal favourite, ‘Treaty’ in its peace Division Dub makes its way into another compilation. For most of the mix, it is played side by side with Sense’s ‘Digital Spirituality’.

It gets more progressive with tracks such as Cirque’s ‘Swerve’ and Himmel’s ‘Celebrate Life’. Although the overall mix is not big on vocals, we are treated to a sprinkling. The mix is capped with the soulful sounding ‘Time’ by Dajae. Also included as a bonus track is Raff n’ Freddy’s ‘No More Deep’ which does not form part of the mix.
