SLINKY PRESENTS SUPERCLUB DJ’S: GUY ORNADEL (SLINKY MUSIC)

 

Superclub DJ’s is Slinky’s tribute to the DJs that have made it the club it is today. Guy’s inaugural double CD takes us on an energetic ride. There is no warm-up here. Raise your hands and welcome – Guy Ornadel.

DJ Rodd-y-ler’s ‘Seductions’ does just that with a breakdown to savour. Despite being 2 years old, it is still relevant. Remember, this is a full-on trance mix. Organ riffs, uplifting rhythms. ‘Wake Up’ raises the mix a notch with its pouding bass , Joshua Ryan’s ‘Pistol Whip’ does not let you rest either. Slinky Music’s own ‘Fire Wire’ has proven popular amongst the various compilations and does not miss out here. Mauro Picotto’s ‘Baguette’ is sublime with its barrage of rhythm and beats.

Disc two takes on a more progressive feel. The mix is tight as Sleepfreaks’ eerie ‘Transport’ dares one to indulge. One listen of Lucid’s groovy rhythmic ‘Out There’ and you know where you want to be. Bulit’s seminal ‘Cried To Dream’ features in the form the Max Graham Mix.  “There’s something in the air, something brings me here to share the moment……there’s no need to question it, I only wanted one last kiss goodbye……can we do it again, can we do it again……can we do it again,one last time…” beckons Quivver’s ‘One Last Time’.
